'Manorexia' on the Rise: Experts Estimate 1 Million Men Affected

I don't think this is necessarily new news as we've all seen it at least once in our lifetime. Medical researchers are now saying that "...anorexia is not limited to women...and is (now) crossing gender lines."

But isn't it strange that it has taken so long for society to realise that eating disorders are not gender specific? Go ahead, remember a time when you saw a skinny, emaciated man and remember what you first thought. This is what I thought:

"Wow, that dude is skinny. He must have AIDS or something..."

But never did I think, "Wow, that dude is skinny. He must have an eating disorder..."!
