Hershey - Soy lecithin caused contamination

Hershey has determined that a soy ingredient used in chocolate making was the source of a salmonella contamination that prompted a recall of two dozen products.
Oh boy. I can see this incident causing a slight backlash against the soy manufacturers. Possibly expect to see more news releases from the 'soy' group in the coming days or weeks.

Personally, I don't eat soy that often. With the commercialization of soy in everything, soy manufacturing has gone from quality to mass production...and hence, the genetic modification of soy in order to meet the demand.

What do you think?
